The multitasking Filipino boxer/entertainer/congressman Manny Pacquiao won’t be retiring anytime soon. In a report by Aol Fanhouse his boxing promoter Bob Arum said Manny won’t retire before 2013 and will likely fight 6 more times or two times a year.
“[Manny Pacquiao won’t retire] before 2013. He told me that on the day of his birthday in the Philippines,” Arum said of Pacquiao, whose birthday was on Dec. 17. “Between 2011, 2012 and 2013, he plans to have six fights” at the rate of twice per year.
When asked if Floyd Mayweather Jr would be one of those opponents Arum responded as if Mayweather was on the missing persons list.
“Mayweather? You said Mayweather,” Arum said. “Please. Does anyone know where he is or where to find Floyd Mayweather Jr.?”
Floyd Mayweather Jr. is currently on vacation and has his hands full with legal troubles.
Manny Pacquiao’s next opponent is Sugar Shane Mosley at the MGM Grand Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 7, 2011.
