Las Vegas will once again thrive on May 7th 2011 when the Filipino boxing superstar Manny “Pac-Man” Pacquiao returns to the Vegas strip after having two consecutive pay per view bouts at the Dallas Cowboys Football stadium in Texas.
Manny Pacquiao is taking on the very experienced and powerful Sugar Shane Mosley of Pomona, California.
Some boxing writers and fans are calling for a boycott of Pacquiao’s fights ever since he fought Miguel Cotto, these people might simply be haters, whom either lost money betting against the Pac-Man or they just don’t like action fights.
If you are the type of person who wants action when you watch boxing than the Pacquiao vs. Mosley match is the one for you, someone is going to get stopped in this fight and if it goes to the 12-rounds, both guys are going to have to go through war just to hear the final bell sounds. This is a real pick-em fight. Anything can happen when you have two aggressive boxers going head to head, Mosley could shock the world an pull off the upset knocking Manny Pacquiao out or Manny can defy the odds and be the first to stop the iron chinned Mosley.
So you Floyd Mayweather Jr. fanatics can sit around and wait for your idol to come out of hiding, I mean vacation, to fight again, while the real boxing fans will enjoy the wonderful fights being lined up for 2011, such as Timothy Bradley vs. Devon Alexander at the end of January, Nonito Donaire vs. Fernando Montiel in February, Sergio Martinez returning in March, Miguel Cotto vs. Ricardo Mayorga another guaranteed action fight in March, Manny Pacquiao vs. Sugar Shane Mosley in May and don’t forget all the ESPN2 Friday Night Fights coming up.
