Filipino-American boxer Nonito “Filipino Flash” Donaire stopped his opponent Wladimir Sidorenko at 1:48 of the fourth round Saturday night at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
Nonito badly beat up the Ukrainian fighter and broke his nose leaving his face splattered in blood.
Top Rank’s Bob Arum, considers Nonito Donaire one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world and believes he can be a big crossover star like his fellow Filipino boxer, Manny “The Pac-Man” Pacquiao, who is also one of the highest paid athletes in sports today.
Donaire credits his boxing trainer Robert Garcia and Victor Conte the man who is in charge of his nutrition and conditioning for his victory.
Next up for Donaire is a shot at Mexican Fernando Montiel’s 118-pound titles on HBO February 19.
