In a report by Asempa Sports, former Manny Pacquiao foe, Joshua Clottey, claims that he has the remedy to defeat the Filipino boxer if given a rematch.
Clottey had extreme confidence in Manny Pacquiao before he faced Antonio Margarito, and praised Pacquiao’s win over Margarito, but he believes he is now the only boxer who can beat Manny.
Pacquiao and Clottey fought on March 13, 2010 at the Dallas Cowboys stadium in front of a crowd of 51,000 people and Clottey’s performance was ridiculed by boxing fans and scribes because he did nothing but cover up and throw the occasional jab while Manny threw more than one thousand punches giving him a unanimous decision victory.Clottey said his weak performance was due to some bad stew he ate prior to the fight that gave him the runs causing him to use the restroom several times before the fight.
In a second fight Clottey vows he will not be defeated again by Pacquiao. At this moment a rematch with Clottey is the last thing on boxing fans and Top Rank promoter Bob Arum’s mind, the main focus is now on putting a super-fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. for 2011.
