The Manny Pacquiao vs. Antonio Margarito fight is only a few days away and the anticipation is building up quickly for the November 13 showdown at Dallas Cowboys Stadium. On HBO 24/7 Pacquiao-Margarito, Freddie Roach the trainer of Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao gave his honest opinions on the matter of illegal handwraps and if Margarito knew or didn’t know what was in his gloves — Roach and Pacquiao both felt Antonio Margarito knew what his trainer was putting in his wraps before his fight with Sugar Shane Mosley, a fight that Margarito lost and shortly after got suspended because of plaster like inserts discovered in his wraps before the boxing match.
Antonio Margarito went before the California sports commission only to get rejected twice for his boxing license. The state of Texas granted Margarito a license to box and you would think that Margarito was truly grateful for this opportunity and would show some remorse. But that is not the case because Margarito’s entire camp from head coach Robert Garcia and fellow boxer Brandon Rios were making fun of the handwrap situation almost to say “Hahaha we got away with it.”
A video by popular YouTube sports reporter Elie Sekbach shows trainer Robert Garcia, Antonio Margarito and Brandon Rios mocking the handwraps situation and making fun of Freddie Roach’s condition by shaking themselves like a person riddled with Parkinson’s disease — something Freddie Roach had gotten in his 20’s forcing him to retire from boxing.
They not only offended Freddie Roach but were inconsiderate to all those people who have loved ones or are suffering from Parkinson’s disease like boxing legend Muhammad Ali.
Watch the video of team Margarito making fun of Freddie Roach: You be the judge did team Margarito go to far or was this type of mockery acceptable sports trash talk?
