After the Boston Celtics defeated the Detroit Pistons 109-86 on Tuesday November 2, Kevin Garnett may have crossed the line when it comes to on the court trash talk when he called Pistons NBA player Charlie Villanueva a Cancer Patient.
Villanueva who suffers from Alopecia Areata and has no hair on his head and eyebrows, told fans on his twitter account that Kevin Garnett made their rivalry personal by calling him a cancer patient, something Villanueva found very offensive and tasteless because many people lose their loved ones to the illness.
“KG called me a cancer patient, I’m pissed because, u know how many people died from cancer, and he’s tossing it like it’s a joke.” Tweeted Villanueva.
In another tweet Charlie Villanueva challenges Garnett to a boxing match in the ring: “KG talks alot of crap, he’s prob never been in a fight, I would love to get in a ring with him, I will expose him.”
These comments won’t be taken lightly by the NBA and commissioner David Stern, especially after the NBA finished a full month of cancer awareness and is a partner in support of fighting cancer.
Kevin Garnett has denied every calling Villanueva a cancer patient.
