Tuesday November 2, 2010 marks the day of the United States midterm elections. This election will be viewed and watched by millions of Americans and both Republican and Democrat politicians have campaigned hard to endorse their candidates and the propositions they support.
President Barack Obama showed support for California gubernatorial candidate Jerry Brown and his wife Michelle Obama showed support for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada as he is running against the Republican candidate Sharron Angle who was endorsed by Senator John McCain and Sarah Palin.
For California one of the more popular subjects in the polls is Proposition 19 which would make Marijuana legal in the state if it is passed.
Also the neck and neck race between former California Governor Jerry Brown (Democratic candidate) and former Ebay boss Meg Whitman (Republican candidate) as the winner will replace Arnold Schwarzenegger, who completed two terms as California Governor.

Other interesting nominees in this years election are: Republican nominee for Delaware Senate Christine O’Donnell who ran an ad claiming she wasn’t a witch, Linda McMahon wife of pro-wrestling’s WWE mogul Vince McMahon is running for Senate in Connecticut. If Republican candidate Nikki Haley wins the South Carolina election for Governor she will be the first woman of Indian descent to become Governor.
