According to a report by Inquirer.net, Filipino pound-for-pound boxing king Manny “Pac-Man” Pacquiao can earn up to $25 million from his upcoming boxing match against disgraced Mexican fighter Antonio Margarito on November 13.
Bob Arum, who promotes bother fighters told the Inquirer, “Manny is guaranteed $15 million for the fight, and including his share from the pay-per-view upside, he could make as much as $22 million to $25 million,” Arum said.
The Top Rank Promotions CEO, also made the bold prediction that the Pacquiao vs. Margarito HBO pay per view will do more than 1.2 million pay per view buys.
Arum said Antonio Margarito is guaranteed $3 million, but could earn as much as $7 to $8 million total depending on pay per view buys breaking a certain number.
The HBO 24/7 Pacquiao-Margarito series debuted Saturday and will continue each Saturday before the November 13 showdown at Dallas Cowboys stadium. The final 24/7 show will air on Friday Nov. 12 the day of the weigh-in and the day before the fight.
