After witnessing Manny Pacquiao’s media training sessions while in Baguio, Philippines, Top Rank promoter, Bob Arum, told ABS-CBN that he wasn’t impressed with what he saw from Manny Pacquiao in terms of speed.
The 78-year-old boxing promoter, who once guided the careers of Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather Jr. feels that Manny Pacquiao doesn’t have the type of speed he needs to beat Antonio Margarito on Nov. 13.
“When I watched him on Saturday, I didn’t see the kind of speed that he would need to beat Margarito,” said Arum during media day at the Shape-Up gym in Baguio.
Arum also made a bold statement that after watching Antonio Margarito train and now Pacquiao he feels if the fight happened immediately that Margarito would win.
Freddie Roach and Manny Pacquiao will fly out to the Wild Card boxing club in Hollywood, California on Oct. 23 to wrap up the final weeks of training before heading to Dallas, Texas to fight Antonio Margarito at Cowboys stadium on November 13 on HBO pay-per-view.
