The anticipated super welterweight showdown between the Filipino boxing star, Manny “Pac-Man” Pacquiao and Mexico’s Antonio Margarito is only a few weeks away and the promoter of the fight Bob Arum believes the November 13 boxing event will do over 1.3 million HBO ppv buys.
“I am confident this fight will do well over the 1.3-million (pay-per-view) buys that Manny did against Oscar De La Hoya (in 2008),” Arum told Manila Bulletin on Saturday.
Bob Arum also said that the ticket sales for the event are going strong and with the premiere of HBO 24/7 Pacquiao-Margarito to help build interest in the fight, sales are expected to increase as the fight nears.
