Thirty three miners trapped in a Chilean mine for 68 days in hot, humid mine filled with copper and gold, in Chile’s Atacama desert after the opening collapsed on August 5th are now being set free after months of drilling a hole to get to the trapped miners.
Usually when miners get trapped they do not survive from lack of oxygen, but these miners surviving is truly a miracle. The families of the Chile miners are waiting in anticipation to see their loved ones again.
The minersĀ of Copiapo, Chile could face health issues after being trapped over 2000 feet below the ground. The main problem is decompression sickness also called the bends, the bends is caused when gas bubbles form in the tissue or the blood — it can cause choking, pain and possibly death.
