After months of speculation, the new American Idol judges to join Randy Jackson for season 10 were announced today at the Great Western Forum (old home of the Los Angeles Lakers) in Inglewood, California.
The two judges announced by Ryan Seacrest in front of an audience of thousands of idol hopefuls waiting to audition, were Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler and singer/actress Jennifer Lopez.
According to rumors, Lopez, 41, signed a deal worth $12 million to join the American Idol panel, and Steven Tyler, 62, supposedly signed a deal worth $18 million.
Another addition to the show is Interscope Geffen A&M Records chairman, Jimmy Iovine. Iovine has joined the American Idol program as an in-house mentor to the contestants.
