The legendary boxing trainer to Manny Pacquiao, issued a statement face to face with Antonio Margarito and his trainer Robert Garcia, that his prized fighter will stop the Tijuana Tornado in eight rounds.
Freddie Roach, Manny Pacquiao, Antonio Margarito, Robert Garcia, and HBO boxing commentator Max Kellerman were all gathered around a small table to openly discuss the November 13 boxing match up at Cowboys Stadium between Pacquiao and Margarito. Antonio Margarito was a fighter who filled in for Floyd Mayweather Jr., who didn’t want anything to do with Manny Pacquiao and claimed he was on vacation. Margarito is also one of the welterweights Floyd Mayweather Jr. avoided fighting years ago.
From the short clip of HBO Face-Off with Max Kellerman, it looks to be an interesting build up to this fight. It shows some uncomfortable moments as Kellerman asks Margarito about the night he was found with illegal substance in his handwraps and after Margarito pleads his case of innocence, Kellerman tells him that his opponent Manny Pacquiao doesn’t believe him and thinks Antonio knew what was being put inside of his hand wraps before the Shane Mosley fight.
Freddie Roach in the short clip makes a bold statement right in front of Margarito and his trainer Robert Garcia that Pacquiao will finish him in eight rounds, Margarito laughs at Roach’s prediction and replies in Spanish saying, “Does he think I am a cripple”? Roach answers back to Margarito saying, “I seen your last two fights,” and it ends in an awkward silence.
The entire 10-minute episode of HBO Face-Off with Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito will be on HBO and online soon before the November 13 Pay per view fight.
