I am not sure how to start this, but is Willie Revillame still coming back to Wowowee? If yes, when? If not, why is the show still “Wowowee”? The name may be the company’s property but people know “Wowowee” equals Willie because Willie Revillame is Wowowee”.
ABS-CBN has the responsibility to inform the public, soon I hope.
Willie may have a lot of shortcomings but it is ABS-CBN’s responsibility to coach him, or at least discipline him, after all ABS-CBN is a family.(But in this case, is it?)
As I understand, it started with an unwarranted remarks between two employees (Willie and Jobert Sucaldito) of ABS-CBN, and if this is correct it should have stayed that way, like an internal staff problem. ABS-CBN should not have allowed it to be blown out to its current ‘global’ state.
But because it already happened, Willie should make a public apology then the show goes on.
Others may have complaints (for any reason of their own) but business is business. If the show’s rating is plummeting, by all means, replace Willie and stop deceiving the public by using “Wowowee” as name of the show because when we tune in, we expect Willie to be there, whether he is ‘mayabang’ or not, and when he is not in the show, it is rather frustrating. At least give us a time frame so we can stop tuning in and stop wasting our time trying to check it out.
