Cesar Montano, a talented leading actor, a singer, an experienced host, polite, decent, respectful to his audience and guests with a feet always flat on the ground despite of all his acting success and of course a devoted father who overcame tragedy when his son passed. These should be the qualifications of a host for Abs-Cbn’s “Wowowee.”
Yesterday, suddenly, the artist described above was hosting Wowowee – this was a surprise to the audience who became lively, especially when he started singing with a band.
Can Cesar Montano be the permanent host of this entertaining variety show? Although, Luis Manzano is also doing good in his own way and style of hosting, his different qualifications is that he is already an award winning host, and he doesn’t have any negative controversy or gossip that can be attached to his name. Manzano is a single, young, decent and courteous host who respects his guests.
To improve his hosting skills, Luis Manzano should make use of his singing talent inherited from his mother Vilma Santos a successful actress and singer who is now the current governor of Batangas.
If Manzano can sing frequently on the show, then, he can be a good prospect as a permanent host for Wowowee.
In any case it can be concluded that it is the show Wowowee that is the attraction. You can put any host and it can still be entertaining and much appreciated by the TFC/Abs-Cbn subscribers and its live audience.
Despite Willie Revillame’s absence from Wowowee, the show is still entertaining and more enjoyable because of their celebrity guests that appear now and then like singers Gary Valenciano, Sarah Geronimo, Sam Milby, Piolo Pascual, Rico J. Puno and his contemporaries and sometimes even the international singing sensation Charice Pempengco.
Whatever it is the management, especially, Charo Santos-Concio and Gabby Lopez deserves the proper recognition for the success of Wowowee becoming a hit show for Abs-Cbn. More power and success to them.
