The 2010 Major League Baseball All-Star roster was just finalized and released and Filipino-American San Francisco Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum made this years roster. Lincecum is the son of a white American father and Filipino mother and he is a multiple Cy Young award winner. The voting ended in on Thursday and the rosters and line-ups were released Sunday July, 4th.
The baseball player who received the most fan votes overall was Minnesota Twins catcher, and American League MVP, Joe Mauer, who will be making his fourth appearance at an MLB All-Star game and his third as starter. He collected 5,372,606 votes. St. Louis Cardinals, Albert Pujols, received the highest amount of votes for the National League with 4,380,669. Baseball Fans cast 21.2 million ballots on MLB.com, the second-highest figure in history to decide All-Star game lineups.
