The annual Forbes Celebrity 100 list ranks the most powerful and influential celebrities in various fields of entertainment.
American boxer Floyd “Money” Mayweather was ranked number 31 on the list way above Filipino boxer/congressman Manny “Pac-Man” Pacquiao who was ranked number 55 on the 2010 Forbes Celebrity 100.
Mayweather earned $25 million dollars for his comeback fight in September of 2009 against Juan Manuel Marquez of Mexico. In his next fight a unanimous decision win against Sugar Shane Mosley, Floyd Mayweather Jr pocketed a $40 million payday for just 36 minutes. His combined total for both fights is estimated at $65 million.
The pride of the Philippines, Manny “Pac-Man” Pacquiao, ranked # 55 on the 2010 Forbes 100 Celebrity list. Pacquiao earned a combined total of $35 million dollars for his fights against Miguel Cotto and Joshua Clottey. Pacquiao was ranked #57 on the 2009 Forbes Celebrity 100 list, and earned $40 million for this fights with Oscar De La Hoya and Ricky Hatton.
The top ten most influential/powerful celebs on the 2010 Forbes Celeb 100 are:
1) Oprah Winfrey, 2) Beyonce Knowles, 3) James Cameron, 4) Lady Gaga, 5) Tiger Woods, 6) Britney Spears, 7) U2, 8.) Sandra Bullock, 9) Johnny Depp, 10) Madonna.
The Forbes Celebrity 100 also included these other athletes alongside Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr; 5) Tiger Woods, 14) Kobe Bryant, 20) Michael Jordan, 28) Lebron James, 29) Roger Federer, 36) David Beckham, 45) Phil Mickelson, 48) Cristiano Ronaldo, 49) Alex Rodriguez, 52) Shaquille O’Neal, 64) Derek Jester, 65) Lance Armstrong, 81) Maria Sharapova, 83) Venus Williams and 96) Danica Patrick.
Floyd Mayweather was able to beat Pacquiao on the Forbes Celebrity 100 list but will he be able to beat Manny Pacquiao in the ring should they fight in what is expected to be the highest grossing boxing event in history.
