A video has been swirling around on the internet of Floyd Mayweather Jr. meeting a sick 18-year old named Armando Carral for the Make-A-Wish-Foundation charity.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a non-profit organization that grants wishes to children (2.5 years to 18 years old) with life-threatening medical conditions.
18-year old Armando Carral is fighting Hodgkins Lymphoma and his wish was to meet his idol, boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr., and have a chance to hang around the champion. Carral also had another wish and that wish is also shared by the millions of boxing fans around the world and that was to see his hero Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight Manny Pacquiao in the ring.
Instead of granting the teen’s wish, Floyd says straight out that he will take a few years off away from the sport of boxing. It would have been a memorable moment and a moment that would have endeared Floyd Mayweather Jr. to the public if he granted the boy that wish and vowed he would fight Manny Pacquiao.
Other sports hero’s in the past have done such things, like legendary baseball player, New York Yankee Babe Ruth, who promised a dying boy he would hit a home run for him and did.
Here is the video proof of Floyd Mayweather Jr. denying the young fan his wish
