Washington D.C, June 2, 2010 – Actress Q’orianka Kilcher, famous for her portrayal of the American Indian Pocahontas in the 2005 film “The New World” starring Colin Farrell, was arrested for tying herself to a White House fence with black liquid poured all over her body.
Q’orianka Kilcher and her mother, Saskia, were there protesting a visit by president of Peru, Alan Garcia. Q’orianka Klicher’s father is Peruvian Indian.
The Police intervened when the 20-year-old actress tied herself to the White House fence while her 41-year-old mother, Saskia, poured a dark substance over her daughter.
Q’Orianka was charged with disorderly conduct, while her mother, Saskia, was charged for defacing government property.
Q’orianka Kilcher was in Lima, Peru just last week to support Peruvian indigenous leader Alberto Pizango. Alberto Pizango is accused of fueling protests against foreign investment in which more than 30 people died.
