Former US vice president, Al Gore, and his wife Tipper Gore, are calling it quits after 40 years of marriage. They were looked at as the ideal American couple, they seemed happy and in love. During his 2000 election campaign Al Gore gave his wife Tipper a long passionate kiss showing how much he loved his wife to the nation.
Gore first ran for presidency in 1988 at 39 years old, but failed to gain major support. He then served two terms as vice president under the Bill Clinton administration, and lost the bid for presidency in 2000 when he lost by a close margin against Republican George W. Bush.
In an email sent out Tuesday morning by the Gores to friends and associates, the Gores said it was “a mutual and mutually supportive decision that we have made together following a process of long and careful consideration.”
Gores spokesperson Kalee Kreider confirmed the email, but had no comment on the Gores situation.
