The UFC boss Dana White and self proclaimed, Manny Pacquiao fan, doesn’t think Filipino boxer Manny “the Pacman” Pacquiao or his rival Floyd Mayweather Jr. can succeed in the world of ultimate fighting.
Dana white was on morning radio with host Dan Patrick, promoting the upcoming May 29, UFC 114 “Rashad Evans vs. Rampage Jackson” pay-per-view, when Patrick asked White “If I put Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather in the Octagon, could you tell from their boxing skills how they would be in the Octagon?”
Dana White’s answer was “I’m a huge Pacquiao fan. Pacquiao is a more aggressive fighter and his fights are more fun to watch, but either one of those guys would get beaten in mixed martial arts.”
Mixed Martial Arts, is more diverse than boxing, so White knows that Pacquiao and Mayweather would probably get taken down and submitted on the floor because no MMA fighter would try to play into their strengths.
