Boxer/Congressman, Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, has agreed to Floyd Mayweather’s 14-day cutoff for random blood testing, but the father of Floyd Mayweather Jr. doesn’t want his son to face the newly crowned Filipino congressman.
In an article by the boxinghistorian.com, Mayweather Sr. told a CBS radio show that Manny Pacquiao only accepted the terms now because he had six months to clean his system of any illegal substances, but Mayweather says even if you stop using steroids or performance enhancing drugs you will still receive the benefits from the drugs long after you stopped.
If this was the case then Sugar Shane Mosley would have benefited as well since he is a self confessed steroid user, but Floyd Mayweather Jr. had no problem fighting him.
Floyd Mayweather Sr. was asked about his concerns regarding his son fighting a southpaw. “It does not matter what stance Pacquiao fights, my son will never fight him”.
The final statement speaks volumes, does Floyd Mayweather Sr. see Manny Pacquiao as a threat to his son? That could be the reason why he doesn’t want his son to face Pacquiao even with Pacquiao accepting the Olympic style drug testing.
